ЄMЄCIΩN KOΛONIAC Eagle standing to right, head left, holding wreath in beak, atop stone of El-Gabal; to left, Z/ΦK (date). SNG Copenhagen 310. A lovely example with an interesting depiction of the stone of El-Gabal. Very fine.

An interesting detail about the coins issued under Caracalla (and later under Uranius Antoninus) in Emesa is that they are dated to the Seleukid Era, which by then was already more than half a millennium old.
